Thank you Lucy,
I hope teachers will feel free to use this tool. That was my aim in doing this. Feel free to pass it on to other teachers and to give me feed-back about how user-friendly it is. (or isn't!)

Hi Andrea,
Oooo, that's a lovely, very sad, and hopeful poem. I think you should feel more upbeat about the use of poetry in public education. I've seen it used and loved in many classrooms and it is usually a real highlight for teachers and students, alike. Don't despair! Thanks for providing some poems and discussion/activity ideas to encourage student discourse on the topic of bullying. Good for you!

Thank you for the enthusiastic response.

Yes, these poems were designed to be used as spring-boards for discussion. I hope they will prove useful to someone.

Posting them on the web has encouraged me to start writing again. Look forward to one on cyber-bullying...it is in the works...

Thank you for the encouragement.

I really didn't know what to do with the poems, but they weren't doing anyone any good sitting on my computer. I figured I would just thrust them into cyberspace in case anyone might find them of use.

Great poems -- they're really accessible for children. The accompanying materials are great, too. Thanks for exposing this oft-ignored issue.

Wow, Andrea, your poems are amazing. They are emotional and thought provoking

I can see a child reading or hearing one of your poems and feeling for the first time that someone "gets it".

Great vessel for opening up the lines of communication between student/child and parent/child.

Well done...Andrea, and Harold for helping Andrea expose her talent on the web.
